YARNGEAR.COM KNIFTY KNITTER PATTERNS:

FURRY CONFETTI HAT & SCARF SET:

You will need:
2 balls of Lion Brand Fun Fur in Confetti
1 5oz skein of Red Heart Super Saver in Artist Print

This adult size hat is the basic hat pattern featured in the KK instructions, with a brim, using the x-large yellow loom, holding 2 strands of RH & 1 strand of FF together.

Using 2 strands of RH & 1 strand of FF together, the scarf is from the basic instructions for the purple loom, 5 pegs wide.

Each project takes 1 ball of Fun Fur, with a bit leftover on the hat, which you can add to the scarf. If you want a longer or thicker scarf, you will need extra Fun Fur, and possibly 1 more skein of Red Heart.

PASTEL CLOUDS SCARF:

You will need:
1 6oz skein of Red Hearn Baby Clouds

With 1 strand, following the basic instructions for the purple loom, 9 pegs across. For a longer adult scarf, use 8 to 12 oz of yarn, and try the equivalent Light & Lofty or Bright & Lofty.

DENIM HAT:

You will need:
1 skein of Red Heart Symphony in blue
1 skein of Red Heart Economy in a varigated denim color (sorry, I threw the labels away without noting)

Holding 1 strand of Symphony and 2 strands of Economy, follow basic hat instructions, without a brim, and let the edge curl naturally.

SILVER STOLE:

You will need:
4 balls of Lion Brand Fun (2 balls each of black & white)

Using the basic scarf instrucions for the purple loom, 7 pegs wide, hold 1 strand of each color together.

CAMOUFLAGE HUNTER HAT

You will need:
1 skein of worsted acylic in black
1 skein of worsted acryic in camouflage

Holding 2 strands together, follow the basic hat instrucions to make the brim in black, then change to camouflage for the rest of the hat.

MANLY WINTER HAT & SCARF SET

You will need:
4 balls of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick for main color (MC)
1 ball of Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick for accent color (AC)

Follow the basic hat instrucions for the x-large yellow loom, making the brim in AC, and the rest in MC.

The scarf is from the basic instrucions for the purple loom, 18 pegs wide. Start with MC, knit 4 rows, then switch to AC for 4 rows. Keep alternating colors every 4 rows, making 3 stripes with AC. Each time you change color, twist it once with the old one, to neaten the edge.

For the end of the scarf, you will have plenty of AC left over for 3 stripes, but if you want to maximize usage of MC before you run out of yarn, you can measure by wrapping the tail end of the yarn around both rows, the width of you scarf, 2.5 times for every row.  So for every 4 row stripe, you will need enough yarn to wrap around the loom 10 times (2.5 x 4).  After the first stripe of AC, make sure you have enough yarn for 3 stripes of MC, or 30 wraps around the loom.

PATRIOT SCARF

I never finished this scarf. It was my first experiment with making a flat piece of knitting on the round loom, and I discovered that the fabric will curl into a tube if you don't take precautions. The easiest is to make 3 purl stitches on each end of your flat piece.

With 1 skein of Red Heart Economy in the red, white, blue varigated colorway, using a single strand, following the instructions for a flat panel using all 24 pegs of the blue loom. Wrap 3 rows total, then knit the bottom row over the top 2 rows. Wrap another row, then again, knit the bottom row over the top 2 rows. Continue doing so, and the yarn itself make this interesting zig-zag pattern. However, since dyelots can vary, you may get different results.
